Mandate
The mandate of the Ohangwena regional council as provided by the Constitution of the Republic of Namibia and Regional Council Act, Act No 22 of 1992 is to:
To Plan and implement physical and socio-economic development in partnership with the inhabitants and stakeholders
in the region
To Govern and represent the affairs of the inhabitants of Ohangwena region; and
To Coordinate Government functions at the Regional level
Vision
To be the hub of physical and socio-economic development and participatory governance
Mission
To effectively govern and plan the affairs of the region in collaboration with its stakeholders in order to ensure quality service delivery, accelerated industrialization and improved living standards of inhabitants while upholding the principles of Sustainable Development.
